Solar Recover Save Your Skin

If you've watched iluvjesse444's channel, you've might remember that she has raved many times about Solar Recover's Save Your Hair. When I checked out Solar Recover, I also found that their original product is called Save Your Skin. Save Your Skin is meant to help your skin quickly recover from sunburns. I hopefully won't have to test this product out for that purpose, because I am a fair redhead, who is cautious about preventing sunburns. But I was intrigued about using this as a light moisturizer. I've seen very few, if any, products that are water based and filled with essential oils, and I thought it was pretty unique. I figured I could basically use this as a face and body spray.

And I have to say, I absolutely love this product for that. The scent is what really won me over. It is light and herbal, and I'm a bit obsessed with it. I think the most prominent note is lavender, but calendula, geranium, chamomile and sandalwood oils are also in it. I usually think lavender is a nice and all, but I really really like this scent.  I think it just agrees with me! As a moisturizer, it is very lightweight, perfect if you need just a tad of hydration. I like to layer this under or over a body oil or lotion. My favorite and most frequent use for this spray is to set my makeup.  Especially if I am wearing powder, this puts a nice bit of moisture back in my face without leaving any stickiness. The ingredients are also very calming for skin. Right now I've got a cold, and it helps to spray this a few times a day on the chapped skin around my nose. It's also recommend for after shaving or waxing, but I haven't tried that out yet.

Because I am constantly testing products, I usually don't end up purchasing the same thing twice. But this is something I love enough to keep repurchasing. I'll also mention that I had an issue with one of Solar Recover's other products, but this company's customer service is absolutely phenomenal. The owner himself emailed me, and when I exchanged an item, he also included two extra full sized products (and he didn't know I have a blog or anything). Seriously, how nice it that? Solar Recover has made a fan out of me!

Ingredients: Distilled water, natural vitamin E, calendula, lavender oil, sesame oil, geranium oil, roman chamomile oil, sandalwood oil, and French seaweed absolute.  **Word to the wise: essential oils can be photosensitizers, so although this product is made to help sun damaged skin, it is probably not good to use it before substantial sun exposure.

Where to Buy: $13 at solarrecover.com or $12 luckyvitamin.com
